例のドキュメンタリーに出ていたスタジオ"STEPS"のHPの時間割をチェックしたところ、David Howardが教えているのはプロダンサー以外お断りのクラスだった。どうりで皆うまい訳だ。
そして今(とても遅いペースで)読んでいるゲルシー・カークランドの手記でもDavid Howardが登場していた。ゲルシーは麻薬がきっかけでABTを引退し、三年間の闘病生活の後,1986年にアンソニー・ダウエルから誘われてロイヤルバレエ団に入るのだが、その時にバレエのリハビリの為にDavid Howardをイギリスに呼び教えを受けたそうだ。
動画見る限りは普通のおっちゃんに見えるけど実は凄い人なのだなと実感。
I check time time schedule of David Howard class in "STEPS" on the internet. And I found the class was a professional-only class. I understand the reason why all of the members in the class are very well in dancing. And I also found David Howard's name in the Gelsey Kirkland's book. After she left for London in 1987, she asked David Howard to teach ballet for rehabilitation. I haven't known about David Howard before. But now,I've realized that David is the great teacher.
